EVEN MORE NEWS:

"Photographs of 1971" on iTunes!

I am currently re-vamping the website.
Yes, I know, it's a slow process. I've decided to go
caveman-like simple in the next incarnation.
It seems most people go to MySpace or the myriad
other music sites to get updates on the artist, video,
and all the other bells and whistles. So I wanna make
dd.com a dirt simple place for the low-down nitty-gritty
basics of information and links. We're talking Commodore
64 programming! In the meantime, if there is anyone out
there who may be willing to pitch in for the cause and knows
a bit about web design, I'd love to hear from you. I'm hoping
to have this all up and running early next year.

iTunes. In keeping with the times, both "The Lonestar
Hitchhiker" and "The Lonestar Companion", and "Photographs
of 1971" have been added to the iTunes Music Store.
You can download them as full albums or individual tunes.

Hell's yeah. More "check out how great I am" news:
NPR's "The World Cafe" with David Dye has done a feature on the new record that is airing this week. This is some great exposure for somebody who used to have "Men at Work" cut from construction paper taped to his bedroom wall. Errr...I mean, what?

Moving on.
You can see proof of this here:

NPR discovered "Ghosts" and featured it on their All Songs Considered/Open Mic segment. You can view evidence of this propoganda at:

"Falling Into Space" is the featured

And speaking of "Falling Into Space", which just happens to be the new single, it just reached #1 on Garageband.com.
That's one small step...
('Course, might not be by the time you get there!)

"The Lonestar Companion"
Alt-countryers who shudder every time Ryan Adams is held up like a God need look no further than New York City's emerging songsmith, Don DiLego. DiLego's "The Lonestar Companion -- Vol. 2" is a crossover gem, full of folk-twang, falsettos and road tales that are intended to accompany his ambitious 2001 debut, "The Lonestar Hitchhiker"...

All Music Guide
"The Lonestar Hitchhiker"
“AMG Pick”
Inspired by a rather innocent New York City subway conversation, Don DiLego spent months traveling along Route 66 to discover different people and their stories. The end product is an Americana, trip-hop account that is as intriguing as it is quirky. Most of the album lends itself to roots rock in the vein of Wilco...
t he '60s pop in "Nicotine Prom Queen" and the nomadic balladry of "Border Song" make the record surpass possible expectations.
